Child Online Africa, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and esteemed partners, is proud to announce the upcoming Africa Safer Internet Day 2024 scheduled for the 6th of February.
Themed “Empowering Minds, Protecting Rights: Creating a Safer Digital Africa,” this year’s event aims to empower everyone especially young people by positioning them to create a Safer Digital Africa through workshops, self-paced courses, community outreach programs among other activities in achieving the goal of the annual celebration.
Africa Safer Internet Day 2024 will feature insightful discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions led by teachers, industry leads among other subject matter experts in the field of online safety. The event will address key issues such as cyberbullying, digital literacy, and the responsible use of technology.
We extend a warm invitation to sponsors, child protection organizations, and all stakeholders interested in contributing to a safer digital space for Africa’s children and young people. Your support will play a crucial role in fostering a secure online environment where young minds can thrive without fear.
